As the film and video industry grows ever bigger, so does the misconception amongst young and aspiring film/video students that one must live in the major ports of production to get anywhere or have any sort of career. XELA Film stands to prove that wrong. Located in beautiful South West, XELA Film is showing that Hollywood, New York, London, etc. aren't the only places where good quality films and videos can be made.

It is the goal of XELA Film to not only get outside attention to Kalamazoo and Michigan, but to also get the attention of our peers and fellow filmmakers and show them that anything can be done, they need but reach out and never give up.

However, as we attempt to change the mindset of our peers, we are also attempting to get our communities involved and interested in film/video. We strive to bring talent from all across Michigan and the midwest and focuses it for the enjoyment of a community that is ready and eager to support young and independent filmmakers.
